November Meeting Tuesday 11th  7.30.

 “Annual Meeting “

The hall kitchen is being refurbished so we will not be able to provide tea/coffee.

There will be cake so please bring a drink if you want one and a plate. 

Please remember there will be no access into the hall until 7.30 for any of our meetings. This is to allow the Brownies to vacate the premises safely. Our hall hire does not start until 7.30.

October Meeting Tuesday 14th  7.40pm.

Please note the start time.

This is to give us time to set up the hall. 

 “50th anniversary celebration”

Time to breakout something gold to wear. 

A party evening with quizzes and games. 

We are asking members to bring along savoury food to share, you will also need plate, glass and cutlery. 

We will be providing a celebration cake and drinks. We would like as many members as possible to come along and make this event special.

Guess Who

Please bring a childhood photo of yourself and collect a number to put by the photo which you will need to put on display on the tables. Members will then have a chance to look at the photos and guess who it is. 

There will be a selection of desserts to eat so please bring a spoon and bowl.

We are hoping to raise money for Glevum activities. Why not bring along a friend.

There will be a cold buffet (please bring cutlery if you wish), cakes.

 Entertainment by Glos Strings Ukelele band.

Attendees are encouraged to dress 20’s style for the occasion.

INFORMAION FOR THE JULY MEETING

If you are planning on joining us for cheese & drinks, please bring a plate, knife & glass.

 

On arrival, please collect a unique number from Emma to allow you to bid for an item. If you have bought an item for the auction, please collect a bidding sheet for each item you have brought (max of 2 items) place your item on the tables put out, along with its bidding sheet. If you would like to put a reserve on the item, please start the sheet with 000 and the amount.  

Members will have time to look at the items in the auction and place their bids.

To make bids on items please write your unique number on the bidding sheet next to the item you are interested in and the amount you wish to bid.  

You can bid as many times as you like for an item and as many items as you wish.

All bids to be made in multiples of 50p. Keep an eye on anything you are interest in to check if you’ve been outbid!!

At the end of the evening the winning bid will be announced, payment to Emma please.

We hope you have an enjoyable evening.

June Meeting Tuesday 10th 7.30

We have Iona Woodger coming to demonstrate flower arranging. This will be an “audience participation night”. To make your own arrangements you will need 1-3 tin cans (baked bean size) or small vases, dainty foliage, small flowers, scissors/cutters, raffia, string or ribbon if you want to make a tied arrangement and a rubbish bag.

 A chance for you and your friends and family to visit the house, gardens and enjoy tea & cake. The cost to book is £6.00 which will cover you for tea & cake. You can then choose to visit the garden, cost £6.00 or the house cost £6.00 or both cost £12.00. this is in addition to the original £6.00. We will be taking names and additional choices at this and the May meeting. We are not providing transport.  At the May meeting we will also be asking for your vote on this years resolution. More information on the resolution can be found in the WI Life magazine page 18. A vote will also be taken on the proposed changes to NFWI governing documents. These proposals were sent out as a consultation document in May 24 and voted on in September 24. Glevum voted in favour.
