Our Christmas Celebration with Robert Knight 🕺 

Remember to bring your own plate,cup,cutlery and any drink you may want as we will  not be serving refreshments 🍹 

We will be having our usual bring and share supper so please bring along a plate of food for the table 😋

The charity chosen by members for this year is Charlie's Gloucester.💖

GFWI Events closing at the December Meeting

Any members who wish to attend any of thses events below must pay at this months meeting.

Please pay by Bacs to save on bank charges. Members can also contact WI House to pay to them directly and to see if any spaces are available after the closing date.💰

Beginners Bag Making 24th Jan 2024 at WI House Morning or afternoon  £20 plus £5 for materials (all day cost  £35.00) 

Dove Embroidary Workshop 25th Jan 2024 at Wi House  £35.00 plus £12 for materials

There are no Glevum Groups this month.

The next Book Club will be on  15th January 2024  at 2pm  hosted by Viv Bick .🕮

Dates  for Scrabble and Knit and Knatter are yet  to be confirmed.

First Meeting in 2024 wiil be Tuesday 13th Feb @ 7.30pm  Crazy Jigsaws 🧩

 Happy Birthday Glevum WI 

On Thursday 19th October 22 members enjoyed a Lunch together at Cafe Rene in Gloucester

There was pleny of food, some drink and lots of chat!

This was the second year we had met at The Rene and like last year the service was very good and they made us feel very welcome. 

Glevum WI is now 48 years old, Having first formed in September 1975.

We did raise a glass to members that are no longer with us, but are not forgotten.

We are  looking forward to our 50th Birthday in 2025!

Group meeting 1st July

 Robinswood Group met for afternoon tea at Robinswood Social club on Saturday 1st July. 

We were entertained by singer Richard Sark. The afternoon was enjoyed by all who attended from Glevum WI, Quedgely WI, Hempstead WI, Twyver WI and Severn Vale.

 Our knitting ladies provide blankets, hats, gloves and other items which were taken to Cheltenham and sent to Turkey & Syria.
